I'm not the biggest fan of Steely Dan, but I enjoy their music enough to incorporate them into my Spotify library. I discussed this puzzle concept (created by Adam) with Chris and seeded this puzzle with a single. Some of the fill could have been better, but I was more focused on getting used to choppier seeds and having fun with building. Hopefully you enjoy solving this puzzle as much as I did making it. As usual, tips appreciated due to my moving, needing to defray moving costs, and so on.
Grid after the break. Happy puzzling, and remember - when nothing seems to go right, go left!

Huge thanks go to David and Will for test solving (or at least volunteering to look at some intentionally mean cluing) and to Maia for being the inspiration for one of the seed entries for this particular puzzle, which, as usual, is after the break. Happy puzzling to you all, and remember - when nothing seems to go right, go left!
I am in the process of moving to the Dallas area to start a new life and to start transitioning. If you feel moved to donate to my trying to afford living expenses and hormones, please consider clicking the Tip button on the puzzle, donating directly through PayPal, or sending funds through CashApp or Ko-Fi (both usernames TarotAndRye). First step down - pare down my bathroom supplies some. The rest of today will be small chores, job applications, and getting a 4-mile walk in. Tomorrow will be cleaning the bathroom itself and getting started on my room. I have most of my puzzles ready for June and July, with Sheydah #4 primed for publishing on this site tomorrow. So I think it goes without saying that the next two weeks will be buck wild.
In the meantime, if you want to help me with defraying a lot of moving costs, please consider the following donation options:
Blame Will Nediger for this one. But also go solve his puzzles when you get the chance - they're ridiculously good. Sometimes I wish I had the brain power and energy to make as good of clues as he makes.
Have a great weekend and remember - when nothing seems to go right, go left! Puzzle after the break.
Last day for my current job ... wow, what a year. What a past 10 years, in fact. All I can say about the prior decade is something for another time. Here's to hoping moving forward leads to greater things. Happy puzzling! And do remember - when nothing seems to go right, go left!
If you would like to help with some financial assistance, please consider hitting the Tip button when it comes up on the embed or clicking a direct link to my PayPal. Puzzle after the break! |
