The last official puzzle of 2022. This feels really weird, but I need the break, if I'm being honest. It's been a wild ride already with my having written and co-written over 150 puzzles. I enjoyed having been on this ride and I'm glad y'all joined me in this.
I'm once again asking for assistance, and this will be the last time this year I ask. I need help with raising funds to move out of this god-awful house with its insulation issues and its slumlord property managers who only really care to repair appliances rather than make a habitable living space. Donations are appreciated. And, for perhaps the last time in 2022 - when nothing seems to go right, go left!

My last officially scheduled mini for 2022. It feels weird to be going on a hiatus shortly, but I plan to return in 2023.
I made this plea last week, but I am making an attempt to secure my own apartment and I need help with financially securing a lease. Our landlord and property manager both refuse to uphold their duty to run a hospitable and inhabitable living space, and it turns out that my roommates and I can't safely break the lease. Because of this situation, my roommates and I are actively looking into new living situations. Any donations are appreciated.
Decided that I should get more midi-building practice in, so I threw my hat into the ring for the November midi contest (check the tag to see other puzzles in the contest). This puzzle's on the easier side of my usual, but I had fun using Ryan Fitzgerald's "Ingrid" project to create a smoother puzzle. Mini #48 goes live Thursday afternoon for the early birds, so I'll see y'all then!
Same great Haymarket flavor, fewer columns!
Got a couple ideas ready for the beginning of the year, but I definitely need more time and a clearer headspace to get them fleshed out. In the meantime, this is where I would normally do my sign-off of "When nothing seems to go right, go left", but I have a bit of a plea. My roommates and I are potentially looking at a legal fight with our landlord due to the property manager's failure to do upkeep, and the residence may end up being uninhabitable due to the failure of the property manager to weatherproof and insulate, along with their failure to notify of a roach infestation against which we can only do surface-level attacks. Because of this, we're looking to break the lease in a way that doesn't impact our credit or renter history and allows us to retain our deposit. I don't see that ending entirely well, so here's the actual plea. I am looking to secure my own place and need assistance with a deposit. I earn what I do, but the rent in these parts is a minimum of $1100, and my credit level makes it clear that I'll be needing to match the first month rent for the deposit. I want to try and raise this by February 12, 2022, and paypal donations are greatly appreciated (see the Tip button on the puzzle applet). Thank you.
Someone end my suffering, please. So many grades, so much paperwork, and don't get me started on the social aspect of the ARD meetings. @_@
As previously mentioned, after this month I will be taking a temporary hiatus from the normal schedule, so to give myself a bit of a break. There may still be some bonus puzzles coming down the pipeline but that depends on inspiration striking. As usual, and until next time - when nothing seems to go right, go left! |
