Not much to say here today. This puzzle was written several weeks prior to the creation of one of my other puzzles so ... well, you'll see. Happy puzzling, and remember - when nothing seems to go right, go left!

Either I'm enjoying putting myself through mental anguish or I might have a chance at making good crossword grids. Sheydot - the feminine plural of Sheyd - may be fun for me to make but expect more Menaces (more difficult minis or midis) for the Tuesday slots. I'm posting this one today so to give myself time for the May 24 post. Thanks to Ky for checking me on a few clues that had errors. Comments after the grid. Happy puzzling!
It took literally a good 18 iterations for me to realize that putting two seeds into a grid is just NOT a good idea when you're just starting. I'll just go ahead and celebrate being able to make crosswords, let alone making three puzzles almost back to back. Enjoy your week, and remember - when nothing seems to go right, go left! I am getting the hang of making larger grids so I'm going to set myself to an actual schedule, as I can. Inspired by the demons of Jewish lore and their frequently terrorizing folks on Tuesday and Friday nights (I forget why), here's the plan, starting this week:
I'm going to test whether PuzzleMe will be a good option for the larger puzzles in the future, but for now I plan to keep to Crosshare. Keep your nazar with you, and remember - when nothing seems to go right, go left!
Huge thanks goes to Quiara for test-solving this grid, and for helping with a few ornery clues. Further comments after the grid. Happy puzzling!
Somehow I managed to slap together a relatively easy grid that was certainly a lot more fun than doomscrolling on the Twits and having to deal with some particularly nasty folks who are wont to engage in intentional misgendering. Also helps to solve grids posted in Matt Gritzmacher's newsletter when I have the energy and brain power for it. Remember - when nothing seems to go right, go left! |
AuthorAriel Haymarket (they/them, she/her, it/its, e/em/eir) is an annoying anti-authoritarian leftist residing on stolen Kiikaapoi land. New grids every first and third Friday and every second and fourth Tuesday. Archives
